SQUARE, PENNSYLVANIA, USA - The PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management (GAC) is pleased to announce the accreditation of the Engineering Master Program in Project Management (EMPM) at the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.PMI GAC accreditation assures the quality, and sets a global standard, for project management degree programs at the graduate and undergraduate level. Accreditation is a significant milestone for schools and degree programs, as it is achieved through a rigorous process that can take up to 18 months.
Started in 2004, EMPM is designed to produce graduates who are able to coordinate, restructure and allocate resources efficiently for the safe and timely implementation of projects. The program provides a solid theoretical basis in project management as well as advanced techniques and decision making.
The EMPM degree that is offered at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and 102 other schools in China is the most popular engineering masters in the country, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University is the lead school for Eastern China for this degree program. There are 10 lead schools that help shape the curriculum and insure quality. Approximately 10,000 students are enrolled in EMPM programs throughout China.
