ATLANTA, GEORGIA, USA - Project Management Institute (PMI®), the world’s leading membership association for the project management profession, today awarded Tonya M. Peterson from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with the PMI Student Paper of the Year Award.
Peterson’s paper Motivation: How to Increase Project Team Performance was written
for her Interpersonal Skills for Virtual and Co-Located Project Teams course at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The paper focuses on the value of creating and maintaining teamwork to inspire, encourage and stimulate individuals to achieve common goals through project management.
Peterson graduated in May 2007 from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a Master of Science Degree in project management. She is from Germantown, Wisc
With this year’s PMI Student Paper of the Year Award, the award is being named for James Snyder, a founding member of PMI, in honor of his service and dedication to the PMI Educational Foundation.
The James Snyder Student Paper of the Year Award was presented on 6 October 2007 during the 2007 Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with the PMI Global Congress—North America in Atlanta.
