DENVER, COLORADO, USA – Richard Saxton has been awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award by Project Management Institute (PMI) for his outstanding contributions to advancing the field of project management.
The PMI Component Award for Volunteer Leader recognizes volunteers for outstanding commitment and leadership in supporting the programs, projects and activities executed by their component.
Saxton believes that membership growth and satisfaction within the PMI Binghamton, NY Chapter is based on building positive relationships, one member at a time. His 2007 chapter contributions provide concrete evidence of this belief.
“Rich’s contribution set an example for the Binghamton chapter’s membership,” said Brantlee Underhill, CAE, director of practitioner markets for PMI. “He has demonstrated passion for the profession and dedication to Project Management Institute.”
The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented on 16 October during the PMI Awards Ceremony at PMI® Leadership Institute Meeting in Denver.
