
William G. Scarborough, J.D., serves as PMI’s General Counsel. Prior to coming to PMI he had his own private practice for 18 years. William’s areas of practice include Association Law, Antitrust and Commercial Transactions.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel and the American Society of Association Executives. He is a member of the Global Integration Center of the University of Pennsylvania. William was also appointed to the American National Standards Institute Committee on Intellectual Property Rights
William has collaborated with various PMI members on articles that have appeared in PMI Today and PM Network on topics of intellectual property, ethics and Board of Director responsibilities. William was the staff liaison to the Ethics Standards Review Committee and participated in the drafting of the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. William currently serves on the Code Implementation Advisory Committee which has been tasked by the PMI Board to educate the project management community on the new ethics code.
When he does get a chance to get out the office, William is active in a variety of local charitable and church committees. He also enjoys outdoors sports, running, hiking and reading.
