Ethics in Project Management

Ethics in Project Management

In today’s business climate, emphasis on acting and behaving ethically is more important than ever. The Project Management Institute (PMI) believes in the importance and criticality of ethical behavior in the field of project management. Practitioners are faced with ethical dilemmas throughout their career, now more than ever. How to act when faced with an ethical dilemma may not always be clear. For this reason, PMI offers guides for practitioners like the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, and an avenue to report and resolve matters involving unethical behavior through the PMI Ethics Review Committee.

PMI provides links to the tools and resources needed to help project management practitioners consider their situation and to use their best ethical judgment.

View the Ethics and You video for more information on PMI's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and how the Code can guide you when you encounter an ethical dilemma.
