Frame has been a member of PMI since 1989 with service including: PMI Director of Certification; Director of Educational Services; and elected member of Board of Directors. Throughout the 1990s, Frame worked with local groups to establish PMI chapters, promote certification, and increase membership. Frame has been active in project management training since the early 1980s. Over a period of 20, he has trained more than 30,000 managers on project management practice. Mr. Frame is currently Academic Dean of the University of Management and Technology (UMT), a degree-conferring institution that specializes in project management, acquisition management and contract management education. In recognition of his contribution to PMI, Mr. Frame received the PMI Outstanding Contribution Award in 1993 and the Person of the Year Award in 1995.
