Seattle, Washington, USA – Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading not-for-profit advocacy association for the project management profession, today announced it has awarded the College of Continuing Education, California State University, Sacramento, in partnership with the California Department of Transportation, its 2006 PMI Professional Development Product of the Year Award in the Academic Category. The award, introduced last year, honors new professional development products which contribute to the advancement of the project management profession.
The Caltrans Project Management Certificate Program, developed by the College of Continuing Education, California State University, Sacramento, and the California Department of Transportation, is an exceptional professional development product designed for senior level employees handling project delivery for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). This certificate program has six online courses and two classroom courses.
The PMI Professional Development Product of the Year Award in the Academic Category was presented on 21 October during the Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with PMI Global Congress 2006—North America in Seattle, Washington, USA.
