Seattle, Washington, USA – Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading not-for-profit advocacy association for the project management profession, today announced it has awarded Lucille Sirois-Donelly, PMP, the Institute’s 2006 Distinguished Contribution Award. The award recognizes and honors individuals who contribute to the advancement of the project management profession and PMI.

PMI’s Distinguished Contribution Award goes Lucille Sirois-Donelly, PMP, for her outstanding contribution to the advancement of the project management profession and PMI. Ms. Sirois-Donnelly is the manager of career centers in information services at Canada Life/Great-West Life in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her responsibilities include operational management, strategic planning, resource management and deployment, professional development and best practices across all I.S. disciplines, including project management.

Ms. Sirois-Donelly has enjoyed a career in information technology for over 20 years. Over the last 15 years she has held various leadership and project management positions, including a volunteer position as assistant vice president of the planning/project management division of the 2005 Canada Summer Games from 2003 to 2005, and member of the Games’ management committee. In recognition, this effort was awarded the 2006 PMI Community Advancement through Project Management Award in the organization category.

The Distinguished Contribution Award was presented on 21 October during the Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with PMI Global Congress 2006—North America in Seattle, Washington, USA.
