Organizations that offer project managers a defined career ladder are often more successful at retaining their project management talent. But, according to PMI research, only 30 percent of corporations worldwide have a project management career path.

To help, PMI has created a career framework that provides organizations a list of skills commonly found in successful project professionals.  

PMI’s career framework can be accessed using PathPro^®, a website designed to help you navigate the career framework knowledge base, review the full list of skills and competencies, and conduct personal or staff assessments against the data. 

PathPro is available at no cost to organizations. However, to attain organizational permissions users must first register with PathPro.  

About Organizational Access 

PathPro^® allows for three different levels of access each with varying levels of permission. 

Member Access is a benefit of PMI membership. This access-level is only available to PMI members and those who hold a valid PMI credential. Learn more about Member Access 

Organizational Access is available at no cost to employees of a participating organization. Organizational access can only be granted by the organization’s designated administrator. 

Organizational Administrative Access is a great new benefit available to leaders of project departments, HR directors or anyone responsible for the development and growth of the organization’s project professionals. Any organization can request organizational administrative access. 

To register your organization with PathPro^®, click on the Register Now link under the login box in the upper left-hand corner of the PathPro^® homepage. From here you will be directed to a short registration form. Once you have submitted your request, you will receive notification your request has been received. In a few days, you will receive your organization’s administrative username and access.
