Description:

Do members of your project team avoid conflicts, preferring to let them fester? Do they constantly complain to you about other team members, expecting you to fix it? Or, do periodic explosions of anger impede successful project completion?

In this video-assisted workshop you will learn what causes conflicts, how conflicts block effective communication, why conflicts last so long, how to resolve them and how to prevent recurrence. This practical, “how-to” program teaches methods that you can apply in everyday workplace situations to build a more cohesive team.

You will learn two skill-sets in one workshop. 1. You will learn specific steps to resolve conflicts between other people. 2. You will learn how people can approach and resolve their own conflicts without waiting for a mediator to intervene. Instead of working hard to fix a conflict, you can adopt the role of facilitator to keep the disputants productively engaged until they reach their own resolution. Ample breakout activities and behavioral practice prepare you to begin mediating the very next workday. Complete your projects on time without distressing disputes.

A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) areas covered: Communications Management, Human Resource Management, Risk Management, and Quality Management.

Who should attend?

Managers at any level of experience who lead projects, who work with others and who want to reduce costly conflicts that impede project execution.
