Description:

Organizations aim to implement business strategies that generate benefits for the business and their customers. For many organizations, the stumbling block lies in the difficulty to create synergy between the different business units, between business and projects and between the different projects. Portfolio, PMOs and Program Management aim to foster this synergy, but are still not well understood.

By clearly defining the relationship between, and the objectives of, project, program, portfolio and PMO management, this seminar will enable organizational actors to concentrate on achieving success for the business rather than focus on their self-interested requirements. It covers portfolio management as a management approach that aims to align project efforts with the corporate strategy and optimize the efficient use of resources throughout the organization, program management as a business strategy delivery process, and the PMO as a dynamic structure to leverage the above relationships and support the delivery processes.

A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) areas covered: Integration Management, Scope Management, Human Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk Management, and Procurement Management.

Other areas covered: Benefits and Value Management, Stakeholders Management, Project Governance.
