Project Movie: A Practical Application of the PMBOK® Guide—Fourth Edition

Project Movie: A Practical Application of the PMBOK® Guide—Fourth Edition

For More Information

Project Movie is a web-based self-study course that provides an interactive introduction to the project management processes, tools and techniques covered in the PMBOK® Guide. This course teaches you through a series of easy-to-understand explanations and dynamic interactions, as well as an interwoven movie scenario.

The fictional movie scenario is one of the main features of the course. In it, each student is assigned as the project manager for a 60-minute documentary movie that will showcase the tours, service offerings and capabilities of a travel company.  This interactive setup allows you to make decisions that impact the project’s outcome, giving you a unique opportunity to apply real-world knowledge.

Project Movie is based on the PMBOK® Guide–Fourth Edition, and is designed for practitioners who are starting their project management careers. For example, it can help project practitioners prepare for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® examination. It is not a PMI credential exam preparatory course, but will still be useful when studying for the exam.

It takes approximately 15 - 20 hours to complete, and you can access it any time for one year from your date of registration. Before you proceed, make sure you have the proper system requirements, including an internet connection.

The course costs US$500 for PMI members and US$550 for nonmembers. Participants who complete the course earn 15 contact hours, 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or 15 PDUs.
