Updates to the Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) Certification Exam
PMI’s Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)® credential examination will be revised in 2013 based on updates to the role of a project scheduling professional (PMI-SP)® recently found in PMI’s Role Delineation Study (RDS), and due to updates of our foundational standards.
Foundational Standards Changes
If you’re getting ready to take your credential exam, please note that there will be changes to both the exam and the exam preparation that will reflect new versions of PMI’s foundational standards to be released in January 2013.

Please remember: Standards are but one reference in the project management body of knowledge, and all examination references change on occasion. We use industry approved practices to update our exams periodically, rather than immediately following the update or change to a particular reference.
RDS Changes
The PMI-SP will also be updated according to the results of the recent RDS. These updates will impact the PMI-SP examination questions, and a new exam will take effect on 31 August 2013. In the meantime, we will continue regular communications about these upcoming changes.
