PMI Specific Interest Groups

The Virtual Community Project is an opportunity created by PMI volunteers and supported by the PMI Board of Directors to transition PMI’s specific interest groups (SIGs) and colleges to communities of practice by the end of 2010. Communities of practice are knowledge-driven websites where members can engage through blogs, wikis, discussion boards, shared document areas and opinion polls.

For a limited-time, PMI members have access to all the new communities of practice at no cost – a great opportunity to explore and participate in communities of interest.

During this transition period, PMI members still may join current SIGs that have not yet transitioned into communities of practice. Memberships to those SIGs will expire when PMI retires the SIG/college model.
