The PMI Educational Foundation believes that project management is a 21st century life skill that will help students be more successful in life and more competitive in the 21st century workforce.

The materials listed below were created to give school districts, communities, nonprofit organizations, PMI chapters, PMI members, and other individuals the tools and templates to create project learning programs at their local primary and secondary schools. The materials are the copyrighted property of the PMI Educational Foundation. They are available for download at no cost but only for non-commercial use and are not to be modified in any way without written permission from the PMI Educational Foundation (pmief@pmi.org).

Curriculum for Secondary Schools - This curriculum is targeted toward secondary school students and was selected to teach key fundamental project management areas and 21st century skills with emphasis on organizing, planning and scheduling work and provides the information needed to organize and structure the work on a project.

Program Development Handbook - The Program Development Handbook contains tools and templates to help organizations develop project learning/project management programs that teach 21st century life skills through projects. Included in the handbook are mentoring materials, mentor and instructor codes of conduct, facility review forms, sample contracts and projects.

Planning and Implementation Guide - The Planning and Implementation Guide incorporates checklists, lessons learned from other primary and secondary programs and practical advice on starting a program.

Student Presentation Guide - The Student Presentation Guide outlines the steps of preparing a presentation, creating visual aid materials, organizing the presentation, and how to strengthen presentation skills.

A Student's Guide to Leadership - This guide provides students with tools to develop good leadership and communication skills.
