PMI New York City (NYC) Chapter Scholarships
Criteria for Both Scholarships
In order to be considered eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in or applying for an accredited academic degree program in project management, and/or a field that benefits from project management (i.e., science/engineering, hotel management, information technology, pharmaceutical, business administration, construction, human resources, educational administration, etc.), with the following order of priority:
1st Priority: A member of the PMI NYC Chapter or an immediate family member (including spouse, step children and grandchildren but not cousins, aunts or uncles) attending or planning to attend any accredited college or university program in the Metro NYC Area.
2nd Priority: A member of the PMI NYC Chapter or an immediate family member (including spouse, step children and grandchildren but not cousins, aunts or uncles) attending or planning to attend any accredited college or university program anywhere.
Additional Criteria for Each Scholarship
Scholarship #1 Criteria
This scholarship is a one-year, US$1,000 scholarship for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.
Scholarship #2 Criteria
This scholarship is a multi-year renewable scholarship for undergraduate students only. The recipient is eligible to receive US$1,000 for each year of his/her undergraduate degree program with a maximum of US$4,000 ($US1,000 each year for a four-year degree program).
In order to renew the scholarship and receive money after the first year, the student must ask the university to send PMIEF a copy of his/her official transcripts. The transcripts must show that the student has maintained at least a 3.0 GPA or equivalent if the school attended is outside of the United States.
