About Ranzy Gammal
Ranzy Gammal

Ranzy M. Gammal passed away peacefully at home on Thanksgiving Day in the presence of her loving family as one of her all time favorite movies, 'Miracle on 34th St.' played quietly in the background. She fought a relentless seven month battle against the Pancreatic cancer that finally proved too much even for her to overcome. She came into this world a fighter and a strong spirit and remained that way all her life. She overcame a previous bout with colon cancer and the overwhelming loss of her daughter Jordan who preceded her in death. She was a faithful servant to God her entire life, her faith was strong and unshaken up to the very end. A loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife and an adoring mother to her pride and joy her son Gabriel. She was a loyal friend to many and also became an inspiration to many who were touched by all she endured with never a complaint.

Ranzy began her professional career in IS management. In 1998, she directed her focus to project management by joining a multi-national company to run projects in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. She has helped build the inaugural PMO for a national firm headquartered in Hampton Roads and became director of a PMO for a health care management company in Virginia Beach. She is a certified PMP that has worked in the distribution, manufacturing, advertising, health care management, and local government industries. Ranzy has been a member of the PMI HR Board since 2003 and was a Chapter President. She most recently was the Director of Education and Certification. Her contributions to the chapter are too numerous to list.  She touched all of our lives in meaningful ways and she will be greatly missed.
