Academic Scholarship Winner Enhances Career
With the help of PMIEF, Kimberly Lightsey earned her Masters in Project Management from Western Carolina University. She is currently a Project Analyst at the Center for Creative Leadership and became the Secretary-Elect of the PMI Piedmont-Triad Chapter in 2008. Here's what she had to say about her experience since being awarded a scholarship:
“I was the recipient of the 2007 Robert Yourzak scholarship sponsored by the PMI Minnesota Chapter. When I was granted the scholarship I was unemployed and a student. Since that time I have been very busy in PMI related activities…I hope to further my involvement with PMI by participation in various events and volunteer opportunities…and obtain my PMP certification by the end of the year. Many thanks again for the scholarship and the opportunities offered by the PMI Educational Foundation. “
