Terms and Conditions for the Purchase and Use of PMI Articles and Papers
This Agreement details the terms and conditions of use concerning the purchase of Articles and Papers (Assets) via PMI Marketplace. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, excluding choice of law doctrines. We recommend that you print this Agreement and relevant parts of our website for your records.
A. Grant of License. PMI grants to User the limited license to view, download, and print the Article/Paper for their own noncommercial business or personal use. All other uses are beyond the scope of this license. Please fill out our online permissions request form if other uses are desired. This license is freely revocable. PMI may change, suspend, or terminate access to the articles/papers for any reason, at any time, and without notice or liability. Permission to reproduce articles from PM Network® and Project Management Journal® may also be obtained through the Copyright Clearance Center at www.copyright.com.
B. Copyright and Restriction on Use: All articles and papers are protected by the United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. The User may not alter the Article/Paper in any way. The User may not rent, lease, sell, or otherwise transfer all or any portion of the Article/Paper. User is prohibited from publishing the Article/Paper in print or reproducing/distributing it in any way including posting to an Intranet. User is prohibited from posting the Article/Paper on the World Wide Web. User shall be responsible for all uses of the Article/Paper arising out of your purchase, whether or not such use was actually or expressly authorized. User agrees to report any copyright violations concerning the Article/Paper as soon as they become known to the User.
C. Format and Security: Articles/Papers delivered electronically to a customer’s Digital Lockbox are presented as an Adobe® PDF file. User is prohibited from using any methods, programs, or devices to disable or circumvent security measures used by copyright owners to protect their works from unauthorized alterations. Articles/Papers for which PMI does not have electronic distribution rights will be printed and mailed to the customer. The same copyright protections apply to printed Articles/Papers as for electronically delivered Articles/Papers.
D. Cancellations and Returns: Once purchased, PMI Asset(s) delivered electronically shall remain in the user's Digital Lockbox for a period of 21 days. Once there Assets are successfully downloaded within the 21-day period, they will no longer be available for download. User may cancel their order/purchase of a selected PMI Asset(s) prior to downloading such Asset(s), so long as cancellations occurs within the 21-day availability period, otherwise User shall be charged in full for the PMI Asset(s). PMI Asset(s), whether delivered electronically or in print, may not be returned for refund unless User determines that their use of such Asset(s) is not a Permitted Use, as describe in Section A. above.
E. No Warranties: The PMI Asset(s) is/are provided as is, without warranty of any kind. PMI specifically disclaims all warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to the PMI Asset(s).
F. No Liability: In no event shall PMI be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of the PMI Asset(s), even if PMI has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to the User.
G. Acceptance of License: By clicking on the acceptance button during checkout and/or by downloading and/or using the PMI Asset(s), User indicates acceptance of the terms set forth in this license. If User is accepting this license on behalf of a corporate licensee, User represents that User is authorized to do so. If User is not authorized, nor deemed so by law, User assumes sole personal liability for the obligations set forth above.
Pricing & Availability:
Individual articles from the most recent 5 years of PM Network® and Project Management Journal® can be downloaded in the Marketplace at no cost to PMI members. Otherwise, articles and papers $15.00 (US) for nonmembers, $10.00 (US) for members, and $5.00 (US) for student members.

Conference Papers Available from the Marketplace:

All articles and Global Congress papers are available for immediate download upon purchase. While some Seminars & Symposium papers can be downloaded, most are available for print delivery only via postal mail. If you choose to have a paper shipped to you, you must pay the shipping fee listed during the Checkout process.

Individual articles from the most recent 5 years of PM Network® and Project Management Journal® can be downloaded in the Marketplace at no cost to members. All other articles and papers are also available in the Marketplace at $10.00 (US) each for PMI members — a $5.00 (US) savings off the nonmember price — and $5.00 (US) for student members.
PMI Members can receive in-depth research assistance as well as help finding articles and papers, by using our Ask a Librarian service.

Electronic Downloads/Using Your Digital Lockbox:
Electronic downloads provide immediate access to the digital products you order. When you purchase digital content, the order confirmation screen contains a link to your digital product, which is stored in your Digital Lockbox for a period of 21 days. To access the Digital Lockbox, click on the link. It will take you to a screen that explains the simple steps required to download, save, and use your material. For more information, visit the Using Your Digital Lockbox help section.
You also may access the digital products in your Lockbox from the "My PMI" tab. Select "Digital Lockbox" and you will be prompted to log in if you are not already logged in.

Shipping & Delivery Estimates:
Print-only papers are sent by postal mail. Postal mail orders are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) and cannot be tracked during shipment. PMI will notify you once your order has shipped. Please consult USPS for delivery estimates from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Keep in mind that many of our materials are available for immediate download.

Cancellations, Returns, Refunds and Exchanges:
Downloadable Articles and Papers
Once purchased, an article or paper shall remain available in the user's Digital Lockbox for a period of 21 days or until successfully downloaded. Once the article or paper is successfully downloaded within the 21-day period, it will no longer be available for download. You can cancel an order/purchase of a selected article or paper prior to downloading the file, so long as cancellation occurs within the 21-day period. Otherwise you will be charged in full for the article or paper purchased. Once downloaded, articles and papers may not be exchanged nor returned for refund or credit. If you need to cancel your order, please contact Customer Care so they can remove the item from your Digital Lockbox and process the refund.
Print Delivery Only
All PMI Seminars & Symposium papers from 1990-1995 and over half of those from 1995-1999 are available for print delivery only. Print delivery means the paper will be fulfilled in physical paper format via postal mail. Once a print-delivery paper has been fulfilled it may not be exchanged nor returned for refund or credit.
