Pricing & Availability

All books and logo items in the Marketplae are shown with a list (retail) price and a discounted PMI member price.  Prices shown are PMI Marketplace prices only and do not necessarily reflect prices at which these items may be available from other publishers or suppliers.  Prices are subject to change without notice.  Prices charged are current prices, not necessarily published prices.  We always verify prices before we ship to you.  In the unlikely event of pricing descrepancy between what is displayed on the Web site and the actual price of the item, you will be charged the correct price of the item regardless of the published price.  All products shown in the Marketplace are currently available unless otherwise noted in the "stock" field on the item's dettail page. Occasionally, an item goes out of stock temporarily (backorder).  PMI will inform you if any of the items you have ordered have been backordered or are unavailable.

Member Discounts and Benefits:

In addition to the many benefits of PMI membership, all members receive a discount off the list price of books and logo items in the Marketplace.  In general, PMI published books are available to members at 20 percent off the list and non-PMI published books are offered at five percent off the list price.  These discount percentages are approximate.  All discounts are applied during checkout.

Shipping Rates and Delivery Estimates:

Marketplace orders are shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS) so that they are traceable.  If you prefer a different shipping carrier, do not place your order online.  Instead contact the PMI Book Service Center directly via phone, fax or e-mail to make those arrangements. 

Customers outside the United States are responsible for paying all duty and brokerage charges charged directly through customs.  Because PMI is not charging these fees, we are not able to estimate how much they will be.  We take measures to ensure that the value of your shipment is declared accurately, and that all necessary paperwork accompanies your shipment to minimize any customs clearance delays.

Please allow 7 to 10 business days for delivery of books that are in stock when you place your order.  Please allow for longer delivery time if your order is shipping to an address outside of the United States. The PMI Book Service Center can provide an estimated delivery date on orders that have been shipped, if this information is available from the carrier.

Rush orders received by 12:00 noon will be shipped the same business day.  Orders received after this time will not be shipped until the next business day.  Rush orders may be shipped via UPS 2nd Day.  Next Day or International Express.  For other express deliveries, contact the PMi Book Service Center directly via phone, fax or e-mail to make these arrangements.

Shipping and Handling Chargers

Shipping and Handling Charges to the Continental United States and Canada: Minimum $5.95 (US) per order. For orders with more than 2 books, add $0.50 for each additional item in the order. For Canada orders with more than 2 books, add $1.00 for each additional item in the order.

Shipping and Handling Outside Continental U.S., and Canada Express Shipping: Minimum $25.95 (US) per order. Orders with more than one book, add $3.00 for each additional item in the order.

Shipping options to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are UPS Ground, UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next-Day Air.  Rates for "outside Continental U.S." apply to orders going to these destinations.

Rush Shipments:
UPS Next Day - above cost plus $20.00 (US).
UPS 2nd Day - above cost plus $15.00 (US).

For other shipping methods (not UPS), PMI will calculate the actual costs of rush service requested by the customer. In addition, the customer will be charged a $10.00 (US) rush service fee.

Cancellations, Returns, Refunds, Exchanges, Replacements:

Cancellations

Most orders ship within 24-48 hours of receipt.  If your order has not yet shipped, you may attempt to cancel it by logging into PMI.org and viewing your order history.  Click on the order you wuold like to cancel.  If the order is in a cancelable state, a "Cancel Order" button will be visible in the upper right corner of your screen.  Clicking on this button will submit your cancellation request; howecer, it does not guarantee that your order will be cancelled.  We may not be able to cancel your order due to the timing of automated processes.  Your order history will be updated if we are able to cancel the order successfully.  If your order was ineligible for cancellation, you may return the product(s) for refund or credit minus shipping and handling charges.

Return & Refund Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with any book or logo item purchased from the Marketplace, you may return materials in salable condition within 30 days for credit or refund minus the shipping/handling charges. Instructions for returning products are included with every order. Original shipping/handling charges are nonrefundable, and the customer is responsible for return shipping charges. To receive a credit or refund, you must enclose a copy of the packing slip from the original shipment with the returned product.

Please do not return products to the PMI Global Operations Center or to PMI Regional Service Centres in Singapore and Brussels. They must be returned to the PMI Book Service Center.

Exchanges

PMI requests that you contact the PMI Book Service Center  to exchange a product. The quickest way to receive your new product is to order it immediately through the PMI Book Service Center. You will be charged when it ships and will receive credit for the product you’re exchanging when we receive it (see Return Policy for information and instructions).

Replacement

PMI will replace books or logo items that were damaged during shipping. In addition, PMI will ship replacements if you were inadvertently sent the wrong products. Requests for replacements must be made within 30 days of your original order date. Please contact the PMI Book Service Center to discuss the damage or error and the next steps.

Obtaining a Desk Copy or Review Copy of PMI Books:

Desk copies for educators and review copies for the media and resellers are limited to PMI-published books. PMI logo items and the OPM3® Online products (single-user and multi-user versions) are not available for course adoption and for review by media or resellers.  

Desk Copies

Desk copies of PMI-published books are available to educators who have adopted them as course text.  Instructors who are seeking desk copies are limited to one desk copy per title per year.  Additional copies will be charged at full price (PMI member and nonmember pricing applies). Desk copy orders must be placed via e-mail, fax or postal mail. Requestors must complete the Educator Desk Copy Request form which includes information about the course for which the text will be used, specifically:  course name, start/end dates, number of students/books to be ordered, name/address/phone of ordering bookstore or department.  Be sure to include the 13-digit ISBN number and title of the requested book(s).

Submitting a Product for Sale:

In addition to being a publisher, PMI is also a reseller of books and products related to project management.  Publishers, distributors and suppliers who are interested in PMI carrying their products in our Marketplace should send two complimentary review copies with a cover letter and any supporting materials to:

Review copies are nonreturnable.  Due to the volume of products that PMI receives for resale consideration, our review process takes several weeks, and we typically only contact those suppliers whose products we wish to carry.
