Interested in linking your survey to PMI.org, but not sure how to get started? If your survey involves research useful to the profession and is not commercial in nature, you may be able to do so.
Information to include when submitting a survey for review
1. The survey, in Microsoft Word format
2. The survey links request form
3. Proof of any required ethics clearance (if applicable)
4. If student, written approval of survey from thesis/dissertation advisor
Survey requirements and guidelines
1. The survey’s data cannot be gathered for commercial use
2. The survey cannot contain offensive content
3. It cannot capture email addresses or other personal information without the written consent of the respondent
4. PMI is not responsible for the content or quality of the survey but will make a decision to accept or reject survey based on the review of the content.
5. Researcher will be required to submit a report to PMI at the close of the survey.
6. Along with the report, submitter must provide the number of completed questionnaires they received
7. Final results submitted will be posted at the discretion of the Manager of Academic Resources.
Steps to Posting a Survey
1. E-mail the survey (in Microsoft Word or text format) and the Survey Links Form as an attachment to the PMI Research Coordinator. Mail and faxes are not preferred.
2. Read the Survey Policy and the Survey Link Agreement. Email the agreement along with the survey and Survey Links Form. An electronic signature is acceptable as long as it was created from your actual handwriting. Mailing this agreement in is also acceptable.
3. The Academic Resource Manager and two members of the Research Program Member Advisory Group (Research Program Team) will evaluate the survey and inform you of any questions to answer or add to your survey before posting.
4. The link will be posted within 30 days of approval and may stay on the site for up to 60 days.
5. If survey is posted, you will be required to submit a report to PMI 30 days after the close of the survey. The report should be submitted to PMI Research Coordinator.
