OPM3® Users’ Forum to Feature Case Study by Siemens at PMI Global Congress 2007—North America.

At the North America congress this October in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, PMI will host its third annual OPM3 Users’ Forum . This half-day program on Saturday, 6 October will bring together Organizational Project Management Maturity (OPM3) users from around the world to share their experience using the methodology.

If you presently use the OPM3 standard or would like to gain insights from those who do, the forum is an exceptional opportunity.

This year, representatives of Siemens will discuss the company’s use of its internal Maturity in Project Management (MPM) assessment protocol and its best practice methodology in conjunction with the OPM3 standard.

Siemens began assessing its project management maturity in 1992 and implemented its MPM model in 2002. Currently in its third revision, the MPM tool has provided over 100 organizational assessments. While still in pilot test at Siemens, OPM3 promises to be a foundation that will support the development of project management maturity at this company.

Because project business generates more than half of Siemens’ revenue, Siemens treats project management as a core competency. Its projects are highly diverse, therefore it needs its maturity model to apply to a wide range of industries and scope of projects, and to be accepted internationally by employees and customers.

Benefit from Siemens’ presentation and the experience of your colleagues when you attend the OPM3 Users Forum . Participate in breakout sessions based on your organization’s maturity level. Discuss success implementation, execution and improvement practices using OPM3. PMI CEO Gregory Balestrero will give opening remarks.

Seats are limited. To reserve your place at the forum, please register now via the congress website.

Friday, 21 September is the last day to register for PMI Global Congress 2007—North America at the cost-saving advance registration rate.
