Technology Member Advisory Group Seeks New Members

PMI’s Technology Member Advisory Group (TechMAG) is seeking volunteers to help provide expertise and guidance to the PMI Information Technology Department (IT). We are looking for practitioners who can help us to formulate and execute the operational technology program required to achieve PMI’s enterprise architecture strategy.

Ultimately, the purpose of the TechMAG is to help deliver value to members and contribute to the attainment of PMI’s mission and vision.

TechMAG members will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice, including but not limited to issue identification, analysis, and recommendations, related to specific technology areas within PMI’s Enterprise Architecture strategy
  • Providing input and guidance related to PMI’s enterprise architecture strategy and how it aligns to/with component needs
  • Proposing new services and solutions intended to support the delivery of member value to the components, communities, and members
  • Raising organizational awareness about PMI’s Enterprise Architecture strategy

The TechMAG will consist of 10 members selected by the IT Department. The ideal mix would include members from all four regions of the world to ensure a comprehensive, global implementation strategy. In addition, ad hoc teams will be created for up to four months to address specific technology topics. One of the ten members would act as chair for each ad hoc committee.

A full breakdown of duties and necessary skills is available for those who want to volunteer. The deadline is Tuesday, 15 April.

Members are required to sign confidentiality, conflict of interest and PMI IT Code of Conduct forms. The term of service for each member is two years, with the option to be appointed for one additional year. This would be determined by the PMI Vice President of Information Technology.

The TechMAG reports to the Vice President of Information Technology.

Members of the TechMAG are not representatives of PMI and cannot represent PMI on a local, national or international level.

Please contact Frank Schettini if you have any questions about the TechMAG.
