PMI to Support Local Events in Latin America

This year, PMI will implement a new approach to project management events in Latin America. Instead of hosting one congress in the region, the Institute will support several local events organized by PMI communities.

This approach is a great way to meet the needs and interests of project practitioners in specific cities and countries of the region, and to focus on topics and trends of greatest interest to attendees. It’s an effective way to support the growth of the profession in this vibrant region.

We’ll be working with PMI communities in support of these events in 2009:

• Mexico — PMTour National Event, to be held in June
• Costa Rica — IV AP-CON Congreso Centroamericano y del Caribe de Administración de Proyectos in Costa Rica, to be held in September
• Southern Latin America   — Tour 2009 Cono Sur, planned for November
• Brazil — Congresso Brasileiro de Gerenciamento de Projetos, also planned for  November
