Latin America Gains its First PMI GAC Accredited Degree Program in Project Management The Master in Project Management (MPM) at the Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional/University for International Cooperation, located in Costa Rica, has received accreditation by the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management (GAC). This is the first GAC accreditation in the Latin American region. Programmatic accreditation through PMI GAC confirms that the scale and quality of an institution’s project management degree program meets a comprehensive international standard. Accreditation also signals the deep commitment of the institution and its faculty to ongoing evaluation and continuous quality improvement in the discipline of project management. 54 project management degree programs at 23 schools in nine countries are now accredited by PMI GAC.
