Need PDUs? Introducing Publication Quizzes
A New Way to Help You Maintain Your PMI Credential

If you are a PMI credential holder, you may find yourself struggling with the time and cost of earning Professional Development Units (PDUs) to maintain your credential. Your busy life might not permit you the option to attend professional development events. And in today’s tough economic times, both you and your employer may need a way to save money.

Fortunately, you have another option with PMI Publication Quizzes, a new, convenient and affordable way to earn PDUs.

Now you can purchase article / quiz bundles from PMI.org/Marketplace that feature one or two articles or papers. Access the articles electronically, read them, and then take an open-book quiz online. Score a 70% or higher and earn 1 or 2 PDUs, depending on the specific bundle.

The cost is US$15/PDU for PMI members. The articles come from PM Network® and Project Management Journal®. The papers come from PMI global congresses and research conferences, and all are available for purchase separately—without the quiz and PDU option—through the PMI Virtual Library.

Topics include cultural intelligence, organizational project management, milestone planning, work breakdown structures, and vendor and contractor management.

You can also search the available quizzes by topic, release date and credential.

The quizzes don’t replace other traditional methods of earning PDUs, but they are a great alternative for credential holders who want to limit travel to events or need to watch their budget — or just want to try something new.

You have a lot of challenges — but earning PDUs need not be one of them. Find out more about Publication Quizzes on PMI.org > Career Development.
