PMI Educational Foundation Announces New Scholarships, Ways to Give

The PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF), a charitable non-profit organization, is building a better future through project management. PMIEF and its supporters help students afford college, give children an improved chance at success through project-based learning, and help non-profit organizations more quickly and efficiently respond to disasters through project management training.

New Online Training Scholarships

Through the generous support of Cheetah Learning, PMIEF now offers online training scholarships for teachers as well as non-profit and non-governmental organizations.

This expansion of project management training now includes all types of non-profit and non-governmental organizations—from your local food bank or child abuse resource center, to the international organizations providing food, water and education in impoverished third world countries.  For these organizations, an improvement in project management effectiveness and efficiency can help save more lives and feed, clothe, house and educate more people.

Teachers all over the world can also take advantage of these new online training scholarships, which help them develop personal and professional skills for the classroom.  These new scholarships, plus the existing classroom scholarships, provide opportunities for teachers to learn the 21st century skill of project management. New Ways to Give

PMIEF has several new ways for supporters to donate:

Online Donor Page: Available here; click on Donate Now.

Matching Gifts – You can double or even triple your gift if your company matches employee and retiree donations.  Some companies will also make a gift in support of an employee’s volunteer time.  To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please visit our Matching Gifts Search Engine to search for your employer.  If you do not find your employer through this search, please check with your human resources department.

Designate a Gift Through Your Workplace Giving Campaign:

The convenience of payroll deduction makes workplace giving a very popular way to donate in many countries. Now, you may designate all or a portion of your gift to the PMI Educational Foundation through your local United Way Campaign or the U.S. Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

Combined Federal Campaign –  If you are a U.S. federal employee, you may now designate your CFC gift or a portion of your gift to the PMIEF. The CFC designation number is 74213.

United Way Donor Designation – If your employer holds an annual United Way campaign, you may be able to designate all or part of your contribution to PMIEF.  As each United Way has its own numbering system and rules regarding designation of donor gifts, there is no universal United Way number that identifies the PMI Educational Foundation. To ensure that the funds reach us, we recommend that you write on the United Way pledge form the full PMIEF name and address as noted below:
