PMI Regional Events in Latin America A full menu of locations and professional development events will take place between September and November 2009 in Latin America. Whether you live in or wish to travel to Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay or Brazil, you can use this opportunity to update your project management knowledge. These professional development conferences are the result of collaboration between PMI and local chapters in these countries. Attendees will learn about local trends and experience the proceedings in the local language. Co-sponsorship by PMI will add a global perspective to the conferences, and most of these events will be attended by a PMI executive or a member of the PMI Board of Directors, as well as subject matter experts and practitioners from both North and South America. You can also meet with PMI staff and ask questions about membership, credentials, products or other topics. “We are looking forward to the PMI co-branded Latin America congresses,” says Gloria Folle, PMP, Communications Director for the PMI Montevideo Chapter in Uruguay. “These events are organized by PMI chapters in the region, and have been recognized as the best way to get familiar with state-of-the-art knowledge, practices and methods regarding project management, at an affordable price,” she says.
