research and discussion on practical
decision making in “Fixing Projects when
Time and Budget Go Haywire.”

Test Your Knowledge on Excerpts Usage |
|
Question:
If two excerpts are
taken from A Guide to the Project
Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®
Guide) – Third Edition, one from the
English version and another, with the
same content, from the Japanese
translation, would you count those as a
single instance or two excerpts?
Answer:
Since it is the same
content, it would count as one excerpt.
Note that as a general
rule, as part of the R.E.P. agreement,
R.E.P.s are granted a limited use,
nonexclusive, nontransferable license
solely to reproduce 15 figures and
five excerpts from PMI’s copyrighted
PMBOK® Guide – Third Edition, and
definitions from the PMBOK® Guide
Glossary (in English language only) for
use and inclusion in its course
offerings.
