What are PMI Publication Quizzes?
PMI Publication Quizzes are based on PMI-published articles and papers, and short videos, available in the PMI.org Marketplace. Customers purchase the quiz together with one or two related articles and papers or videos. Credential holders will read the article(s) or watch the video(s), and must complete a short quiz to earn PDUs.

Who can take the PMI Publication Quizzes?
While geared towards Credential holders, any PMI member, student members, and non-credential holders may take quizzes.

How much do the PMI Publication Quizzes cost?
The cost ranges between US$15.00 to US$50.00 depending on the quiz and customer’s member or non-member status.

You have one year from the date of quiz purchase to successfully complete your quizzes.

Where does the content come from?
Articles and papers used for PMI Publication Quizzes come from PMI's monthly member magazine, PM Network®, its quarterly journal, Project Management Journal®, and PMI Global Congress and Research and Education Conference papers. Videos for the Video Publication Quizzes is provided through vendor partnerships.

What is the filter feature on the PMI Publication Quizzes page?
The filter feature allows you to filter your quizzes by credential, topic or release date. To display all quizzes, click on All.

Do I have to be a credential holder to purchase a PMI Publication Quiz?
No, a PMI credential is not required to take a PMI Publication Quiz, however, only PMP, PgMP®, PMI-RMP® and PMI-SP® credential holders can earn PDUs.

No, the article(s) are included in the price of the quiz.

Can I purchase a membership at the same time I purchase a quiz?
Yes, you can purchase membership in Marketplace at the same time as a PMI Publication Quiz. The membership discount will be applied to quizzes purchased along with the membership, but not to previously purchased Marketplace products.

I already purchased an article that is associated with a quiz, can I take the quiz?
While articles can be purchased separately in Marketplace, those articles cannot be used to take a quiz and earn PDUs. To earn PDUs, you must purchase the quiz. The articles that you must read to take the quiz are included with the quiz.

Functionality

How soon will I have access to quiz and articles once they are purchased?
You may access the quiz immediately after purchase. To access your quizzes, go to My PMI > Access Your Learning Products > My Homepage > Online Courses and select the hyperlinked quiz title. You can also access your quiz from the My Transcript page. Please be patient as delivery of your article and quiz may take a few minutes.

How do I access my purchased Publication Quizzes?
Links to your purchased quizzes are available from the quiz Curriculum page, a new link available from My PMI > Access Your Learning Products > My Homepage > Online Courses. You can also access your quiz from the My Transcript page.

Can I bookmark the My Quiz page?
No, you cannot bookmark the Quiz page. You will be asked for your PMI login and password prior to accessing your quiz.

Why do some quizzes have multiple articles or videos?
One PDU equates to one hour of learning. In some cases it requires two or more articles or videos to equate to one hour of learning. Since the quiz covers the collection of articles or videos, you should read all articles or view all videos prior to starting the quiz.

Quizzes are only available in English.

Is it an open article / video quiz?
You may be able to reference the article during the quiz if you have the document opened in a separate window but you will not be able to reference the video at the same time you take the quiz.

You can print or download the article, but you cannot print or download the quiz.

Can I access the quiz after I pass it?
No, once you pass a quiz or do not pass the quiz after three attempts, the quiz is no longer active. You will need to re-purchase the quiz to gain three additional attempts.

What PDUs can I earn from PMI Publication Quizzes?
If you pass a quiz, you can earn Category A PDUs for the PMP®, PgMP®, PMI-RMP® and PMI-SP® credentials. Each quiz will list the credentials to which the PDUs can be applied after passing the quiz.

How many PMI Publication Quizzes can I take for during my CCR cycle?
There is no limit to number of PMI Publication Quizzes you may take during your CCR cycle.

Is there a one-third limit on PDUs for PMI Publication Quizzes?
No, there is no longer any limitation on PMI Publication Quizzes to comprise only one-third of the PDUs needed per three-year CCR cycle.

Notifications/Quiz Status

How do I determine the status of my quiz?
Your quiz's Curriculum page, available from My PMI > Access Your Learning Products > My Homepage > My Transcript, displays the status of your quizzes. For example, a quiz with the status of Not Started is purchased and available, giving you three attempts to pass. You can view the number of attempts by selecting "All Attempts" in the drop down box next to your quiz and clicking the "Go" button.

Are there any notification emails for PMI Publication Quizzes?
Yes, there are several email notifications for the quizzes: - Order Confirmation - An order confirmation email will be sent to your email address on file after each purchase (donotreply@pmi.org). This email will contain a link to your quiz.
- Reminder notifications will be sent at 90, 60 and 30 days prior to the expiration of your quizzes (customercare@pmi.org). These emails will contain a link to your quiz.

Certificate

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, once you pass the quiz, the Certificate link for that quiz will become active. You may download or print your certificate.

How soon after passing the quiz can I access the certificate?
You may access your completion certificate immediately after passing your quiz. After passing your quiz, close the quiz window and return to the Curriculum page. You will need to click on the select certificate from the drop down box and click on the "Go" button to activate your certificate (this may take up to two minutes). The link to Print or Save the Certificate should become active.

Where is the certificate located and how do I obtain a copy for my records?
You may access the certificate from My PMI > Access Your Learning Products > Home page > My Transcript page, and click on your quiz hyperlink to open the quiz. The certificate is available only in PDF format. You may print the certificate and download a copy to store electronically.

Is there a minimum passing score?
You must score at least 80 percent to pass the quiz and earn PDUs.

Where do I see my scores for the PMI Publication Quizzes?
The quiz will alert you whether an answer is correct or incorrect after you answer all questions. At the end of the quiz you will receive a final score for the entire quiz.
If you have passed the quiz, close the quiz window and return to your Quiz Curriculum page. You will need to select certificate from the drop down box and click on the "Go" button to activate your certificate (this may take up to two minutes).
If you have not successfully completed the quiz, close the quiz window and return to your Quiz Curriculum page. You will need to click the Quiz title link to re-take the quiz.

I cannot locate my quiz, where is it located?
You may access your quizzes from My PMI > Access Your Learning Products > My Homepage > My Transcript.

I clicked on the "Go" button but my quiz won't open. What can I do?
First, check to make sure that your pop-up blocker is turned off. Second, if you clicked on the "Go" button you may have just added a shortcut for the quiz to Your Workspace. To launch the article and test you should click on the hyperlinked title of the article and test to the left of the "Go" button. Lastly, check to make sure that your computer has the minimum systems requirements. Click Systems Compatibility Check to determine whether your computer meets the minimum requirements. If the quiz still does not open, contact PMI Customer Care at +1-610-356-4600 option 8 or customercare@pmi.org.

What happens if I exit a quiz before completion?
If you exit the quiz prior to completion, your score / responses will not be saved.

My quiz is unavailable; a pop-up message tells me I have no more attempts remaining. What does this mean?
If you have not successfully completed your quiz after three attempts, your access will become unavailable. You will need to re-purchase the quiz if you want to re-take the quiz.
