Ray Piper Memorial Scholarship
About Ray Piper
Ray Piper, MCMI, PMP was the founder &
president of Houston based Business Improvement Solutions Ltd. Co (BIS),
a Project Management training and consulting company established in
1994. He was educated in England and had a B.A in Industrial
Management & an MBA in Business Administration. He held senior
management positions in project controls, construction and project
management associated with the engineering & construction industry.
He retired from industry in 2001 & made a new career out of
speaking, training & consulting in the Project Management arena. He
also held positions in the PMI, American Association of Cost
Engineers, the Greater New Orleans and the Houston Business
Roundtable. He was also a member of the Project Management Institute
and the Institute of Management in the UK. He was a recognized
public speaker and has published & presented many papers & books
related to Project Management. He taught Project Management at Rice
University & was an adjunct professor at the University of Houston
were he taught Internation Project Management at the Masters Level.
Although Ray dedicated his life to project management & education he
was also an International traveler covering over 30 countries &
enjoyed a global lifestyle.
