The James "Jim" Rankin Memorial Scholarship

Criteria

In honor of the founding James "Jim" Rankin. Must be a student of project management in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The scholarship will be awarded between September and May in the amount of US$2,000.

The PMI Educational Foundation is proud to present the 2005 James "Jim" Rankin Memorial Scholarship to:

Liz Sikes literally an Ambassador for UTA; organizations she has served include Student Congress, the University Library Committee, the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), the Honors College Council and the UTA Maverick Maniacs spirit team. In addition, she is founder and former president of the Homeschool Graduates at UTA. As a result of her involvement in numerous campus organizations, Liz has come to understand the importance of discernment: "when to participate in discussions with classmates and professors and when to let another perspective have the floor." She uses time management and scheduling techniques to balance work, play, studies and activities. Liz maintains a superior grade point average and is the winner of awards such as Outstanding Ambassador, Emerging Leader, and Outstanding Student Leader. She will graduate at the age of 20 in December 2006 with an M.S.I.S. concentrating in project management and aspires to! obtain not only a PMP certification, but eventually a Ph.D. in philosophy to explore the impacts of ownership on innovation and creativity in the digital domain.
