Capella University Scholarships in Project Management
Criteria
Three scholarship awards of tuition credit are to be awarded to three new Capella University students, awarded at $500/quarter for four quarters.
The total scholarship award per each student is US$2,000 and will be applied as a tuition credit. The scholarship is open to any NEW student, including transfer students, intending to register (but not yet registered at Capella at the time of the scholarship application) for one of the following Capella University eligible programs in project management:
- PhD in Information Technology with a specialization in Project Management
- PhD in Organization and Management with a specialization in Project Management
- MBA with a specialization in Project Management
- MS in Information Technology with a specialization in Project Management
- BS in Information Technology with a specialization in Project Management
- BS in Business with a specialization in Project Management
Scholarship awardees must meet Capella University admission requirements, maintain part-time status, and comply with university standards of conduct as well as maintain satisfactory academic progress as stipulated by Capella University. In the event the student does not remain continuously enrolled, scholarship proceeds for the quarter(s) missed will be forfeited. Recipients who do not use the full $2,000 scholarship will not be eligible for a cash disbursement or any other compensation equal to the value of the scholarship award. The scholarship award may decrease the amount of financial aid funds available to the recipient.
The application deadline is 1 June each year with scholarship awardees to be notified in the early fall. The PMI Educational Foundation will manage the merit based selection process and will select the awardees from a pool of candidates that meet the scholarship criteria and all requirements as noted in the PMI Educational Foundation's scholarship application. These criteria are based on merit as measured by academic performance and extracurricular activities. The applicant's intended field of study is also considered in the evaluation process with preference given to those candidates pursuing a degree in project management or a directly related field of study.
