The program of the PMO Symposium will kick off on Sunday, 05 November with orientation sessions for first-time attendees. The objective is to assist registrants to navigate the conference agenda and get the most out of their experience. While the PMO Symposium provides advanced programs for PM professionals, the Sunday program will have two workshops focusing on the basics or foundational materials for the new leaders.
Project Management Using Hybrid Approaches: For those attendees who are interested in learning about the basics of hybrid, agile and other blended project management approaches.
Establishing a Strong PMO Foundation – Workshop: This session addresses challenges in establishing and building a strong foundation for the PMO to enable agility and continuously deliver value.
The five knowledge hubs will open on Sunday with discussions focusing on various themes.
Day 1: Monday, 06 November 2017
Monday is the official start of the event. The day will begin with the opening general session and launch of the Thought Leadership Series 2017 including an industry executive panel discussion. After a networking break, the PMO of the Year Award finalist videos will follow just right before the opening keynote address.
The Monday afternoon schedule includes learning excursions, knowledge hub discussions, workshops, and other breakout sessions.
Day 2: Tuesday, 07 November 2017
Tuesday will be a full day with technical sessions and knowledge hub activities. Tentatively, we may consider organizing new idea exchange formats outside of the usual breakout presentation, workshop and panel discussion. Day 2 will end with a closing keynote.
Day 3: Wednesday, 08 November 2017
The technical program will continue on Wednesday with a variety of breakouts and knowledge hubs. A keynote will close out the program at 1:00 PM.
