Debbie O'Bray, CIM

Debbie O'Bray leads the project management practice for Investors Group Financial Services Inc., an enterprise information services organization that spans six companies in Canada and Europe. A passionate and dedicated PMI leader, she is a founder and past president of the PMI Manitoba Chapter. In 1992, she joined the PMI Standards Committee and served as a core team member for A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). Ms. O'Bray also served as the Chair of PMI's Ethics Standards Review and Development Committee, where she worked with a global team to produce PMI's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. She joined the PMI Board of Directors in 1999 and was named PMI chair in 2003. After completing two consecutive terms on the PMI Board of Directors, she was appointed to the PMI Educational Foundation board of directors in 2006. In addition to her leadership roles with PMI, Ms. O'Bray has served on several committees and task forces including those for Intellectual Property Policy, Globalization Monitoring, Standards Member Advisory Group, Professional Awards Member Advisory Group, and CEO Recruitment and Selection. In addition to the 2009 PMI Fellow Award, she earned a PMI Presidential Citation in 1995.
