Martin Dean Martin, PhD

Dr. Martin joined PMI in 1980 and held several offices in the PMI Ohio Chapter, including Vice President. He was also a frequent contributor of papers to the Project Management Journal®. He actively participated in many PMI Seminars and Symposia both as a presenter and workshop instructor. Dr. Martin was Certification Committee Chairman from 1982 to 1984, Director of Certification on the PMI Board of Directors from 1985 to 1989, and was the Board's Vice President-Technical Activities during 1990. Dr. Martin received the 1985 PMI Distinguished Contribution Award in 1985. He was also active in creating and implementing PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification Program.
