Philip Diab

For more than 20 years, Philip Diab has led global teams across four continents, in more than 15 countries and has expertise in the areas of organizational strategy, transformation and execution. As a tireless advocate and a recognized leader in project management, Mr. Diab has traveled to more than 30 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East representing the profession and PMI.
Mr. Diab is a two-time PMI Board of Directors member who served on PMI’s Governance Committee for four years and as Chair of PMI’s 2008 Board of Directors. During that time, he met with thousands of practitioners and established a solid understanding of the nuanced approach of project management in the field, particularly as it applies to the topic of his book, Sidestep Complexity: Project Management for Small- and Medium-Sized Organizations. Mr. Diab's work includes the development of a new approach to implementing PMOs in organizations, titled RapidStartPMO.
Mr. Diab's professional experience includes work with blue chip global organizations such as Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM and BlueCross BlueShield Association. His consulting engagements have focused on a wide range of strategy and transformation programs in several industry sectors.
Mr. Diab holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Glendale, Arizona, USA and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Birmingham–Southern College, Birmingham, Alabama, USA. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification holder.
