PMI Acknowledgement of Coronavirus
PMI is committed to the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers and stakeholders. We are aware of the concerns about coronavirus and the travel advisories the World Health Organization (WHO) has set forth, and understand the potential impacts this has on your ability to attend PMI meetings and activities.
Staff, volunteers and stakeholders traveling to PMI meetings, activities and events should be aware of the travel advisories from the World Health Organization (WHO), and adjust your attendance as you deem it necessary. Please be aware of the following:
- Volunteers who plan to attend the PMI meeting or activity, but who may need to re-route their travel to adhere to WHO advisories should contact World Travel and request a new itinerary.
- Volunteers who decide not to attend a meeting you already booked should contact the meeting organizer to let them know. If you made travel arrangements through World Travel, please email them as credits may be issued for future use.
- Stakeholders who decide not to attend events they paid for will incur the fee for those events.
- Employees should consult with their immediate managers to discuss travel concerns.
All travelers are encouraged to check any travel advisories related to the country that you are visiting.
As with planning for every PMI meeting, event and activity, safety and welfare of all attendees is top of our mind. However, please use individual discretion pertaining to worldwide travel as it relates to PMI-sponsored events.
