PMI Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Date Updated: 23 November 2021

PMI continues its commitment to the safety and well-being of our global community, which is why we have a designated Crisis Task Force that is monitoring the situation arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).

We anticipate a return to in-person events in North America by April 2022. Decisions to host in-person regional events and local volunteer events outside of North America will be determined based on what is permissible per local guidelines and public health guidance.

While we plan to return to in-person events, PMI will continue to offer virtual events and hybrid solutions as an ongoing opportunity to bring our global community together. Visit the Event Calendar for information on upcoming opportunities.

PMI Certification Candidates

Candidates can reschedule or cancel an online proctored exam or center-based exam at any time, up to 48 hours before the scheduled exam appointment. However, because of limited seating capacity (both physical and virtual), late rescheduling and cancellations will result in a fee. For more information on the fees and policies, please refer to the PMP Handbook.

Please note we are making COVID-19-related exceptions. We will continue to waive fees for candidates who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, receive a positive test result, had direct exposure, or are required to quarantine. We will also continue to waive fees for Pearson VUE-initiated reschedules or cancellations related to COVID-19.
