PMI Annual Membership Meeting Minutes 6 October 2018
Cathy La Tona, Chair, called the meeting to order and welcomed attendees. The assembly viewed a video of PMI highlights, followed by a memorial to PMI Founder and Fellow, J. Gordon Davis, and words of remembrance by James R. Snyder, PMI Founder and Fellow.
Chair La Tona noted that the minutes from the 2017 Annual Membership Meeting were posted on pmi.org and outside of the meeting room and called for a motion to approve the minutes.
Moved by Tim Riggle, PMP, and seconded by Greta Blash, PMP, “That the PMI membership in attendance accept the 2017 Annual Membership Meeting Minutes.” Motion passed.
Chair La Tona recognized members of the 2018 PMI Board Support Committees for their role in supporting the Board and the Institute and also thanked Mark Langley, President and CEO, for his many contributions to PMI and wished him well in retirement.
Chair La Tona recognized and thanked Directors completing their Board service for their many contributions and dedication to the Institute:
- Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez
- Kathleen Romero
- Cecil White
- Al Zeitoun
Followed by welcoming the following individuals elected to serve on the Board of Directors from 2019 through 2021:
- Beth Partleton
- LuAnn Piccard
- Galen Townson
- Randall T. (Randy) Black (re-elected for a second term and elected 2019 Chair)
Ms. La Tona noted that these directors will join the following Directors to form the 2019 Board:
- Tony Appleby
- Margareth Carneiro
- David Frame (2019 Compensation Committee Chair)
- Teresa (Terri) Knudson (2019 Audit Committee Chair)
- Caterina (Cathy) La Tona
- Jennifer Tharp
- Tejas Sura
- Roberto Toledo (2019 Strategic Oversight Committee Chair)
- Thomas Walenta
Chair La Tona called for any old or new business and Tony Appleby, Secretary-Treasurer, stated that there was no business to report.
Chair La Tona announced that the next Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday, 5 October 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where PMI will celebrate their 50th anniversary and adjourned the meeting.
