Brian LaRoche

Brian LaRoche is actively retired following a successful, 32-year career in the defense industry. He is an innovative and strategic business executive with global experience developing and integrating complex systems while delivering business growth, effective execution and transformation across the defense, aerospace and technology industries. He has served in a variety of executive leadership roles at four of the world’s largest defense companies with a focus on project, portfolio and general management.
He concurrently served in the U.S. Navy Reserves, retiring at the rank of rear admiral (two-star rank) in 2016, and bringing extensive leadership and operational experience with practical transformation and strategic change in large organizations. He has served as the sole U.S. Navy representative to the U.S. Secretary of Defense Reserve Forces Policy Board and as an independent director for the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association Upper Midwest Chapter, a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
He is a member of the American Legion and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Surface Navy Association. A disabled veteran, he volunteers each week at the Veterans Administration Eastern Colorado Compassionate Contact Corps program. He was a frequent speaker during his military career, addressing special events and educating the public on the value of a capable navy and maritime industry. He has published articles on LinkedIn including “The Durable Project Manager” and “Integrity, Ethics and Effective Project Execution.”
He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1983 with a baccalaureate degree in political science concentrating on international affairs. He earned a master’s degree in computer science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1996. He is married to the love of his life, Cheryl, and is the proud father of four children. He currently resides in Colorado, USA.
