Carla McIntosh Gordon
A long-standing PMI volunteer, Carla McIntosh Gordon, BA, MSc, PMP, BSP, joined the PMI Board of Directors in 2025.
McIntosh Gordon is a seasoned project management professional with over 20 years of experience in enterprise project management, strategy, and business analysis. She currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at VM Group, where she oversees the PMO and Group Strategy portfolios.
Throughout her career, McIntosh Gordon has demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing the profession through leadership, mentorship, and transformative project delivery. She is a long-time volunteer with the PMI Jamaica Chapter, serving for over 10 years. Her expertise spans strategic planning, project portfolio management, and aligning enterprise objectives with impactful project outcomes. Her leadership was instrumental in the establishment of VM Group's Agile Labs in 2020, driving innovation and adaptability in organizational practices.
McIntosh Gordon is an accomplished public speaker who has presented on topics ranging from project management approaches to internet security and quality in education. She has also served as a lecturer in Project Management at both the University of Technology, Jamaica and the Management Institute for National Development, influencing the next generation of project professionals. A dedicated mentor, McIntosh Gordon participates in UWI's alumni mentorship program and recently earned a coaching certification from the Goal Imagery Institute, with plans to further her credentials.
She holds a BA in Linguistics and an MSc in Computer-Based Management Information Systems from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona. In addition to being a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), she is a Balanced Scorecard Professional and a member of the International Association for Strategy Professionals.
