Brian A. Weiss serves as PMI’s Vice President, Practitioner Career Development. He has been with PMI since 2007, bringing more than 20 years of business leadership, product management, marketing and consulting experience to the organization. Mr. Weiss leads an integrated group that supports project management careers, as students learn project management at the university level, enter the workforce, seek certification, and pursue professional development. In his role, Mr. Weiss leads fundamental programs such as certification, academic programs and research, The Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC), Registered Education Providers, global and regional congresses, SeminarsWorld®, and live and online support for PMI volunteer leaders. Mr. Weiss previously served as PMI Vice President, Product Management (2007-2011) and Vice President, Practitioner Markets (2011-2015), building products, community and recognition for organizations, nearly 300 PMI local chapters, and more than one million PMI members, certification holders and volunteer leaders located in over 185 countries. He brings extensive experience to PMI in the areas of strategic planning, international business, marketing and branding, as well as the successful development and launch of multiple products and services in a global environment. Prior to joining PMI, Mr. Weiss led marketing for a business unit of ARAMARK, a US$12 billion global firm specializing in professional services, food services, facilities management, and uniform and career apparel. Prior to that, he served as director of global information products and services for the Hay Group (Korn Ferry), a leading global human resources consulting firm. He also has held consulting, business development and analyst roles at both Claritas, Inc. (Nielsen) and Loan Pricing Corporation (Thomson Reuters). Mr. Weiss received a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business (New Orleans, Louisiana, United States) and an executive master’s degree in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States).
