PMI PMO of the Year
To serve its growing military membership, Navy Federal Credit Union needed to invest in IT projects and upgrade how they were managed. Creating a PMO helped to keep its rapidly expanding portfolio in line with strategic goals.
PMI Project of the Year
Project leaders got creative to complete a high-profile refinery upgrade on a compressed timeline—and finished ahead of schedule, US$7 million under budget and with a spotless safety record.
Focus on Business Analysis
Business analysts—or BAs—play an important role on a project team. There is tremendous demand for skilled BAs and PMI is taking steps to meet that need. We published practice guides on business analysis and requirements management to help professionals build their skills. We launched the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)® certification to spotlight those skills. Due to great response for these resources, we are now developing a foundational standard in business analysis. Set to publish in 2018, it will join PMI’s other foundational standards like the PMBOK® Guide and The Standard for Program Management.
