President's Message

Headshot of Lavy Itzhaky

Our world is a global village. International projects and cooperation become a common practice. Nowadays business environment dictates modern standards and expertise. Finding the right approach in communication and project management is the key to success in constantly changing world. Project Management Institute (PMI) was established over 50 years ago, it is the leading association in education and certification of project management in the world. It has over 500,000 members in 300 chapters located in over than 80 countries around the globe.

Fast growth of IT Industry in Belarus, creation of joint ventures in other industries and management of any kind of international projects require us to comply with international standards.

Therefore, together with my colleagues, we accepted the challenge and created Belarussian PMI Chapter. Since Belarus has already got certified project managers (PMPs), our goal is to continue integration of international standards of project management, which will become a competitive advantage for Belarusian managers. Knowledge exchange and sharing experience within Belarusian chapter and with colleagues from other chapters in the world, integration of new methodologies and agility into our work will bring tremendous growth potential to Belarusian management.

Our vision is to be the value to our chapter members and business community through Project Management excellence, leadership and innovation in business, civic, government and education communities.

We welcome all our current and future members from all industries (IT, construction, pharma, education, etc.). Our activity aims at supporting PMI Belarus members with information on modern methodologies and best practices, tools and standards, as well as areas of professional growth. We are planning to cooperate with organizations, communities and education institutes to develop, enhance and incorporate project management as a profession in Belarus. Exchanging experience during events (face-to-face and virtual) with local experts and with colleagues abroad will improve efficiency of our members and will give them competitive advantage in their career development.

PMI President and CEO's Message

CEO Sunil Prashara

One the greatest strengths of PMI as an organization is our network of volunteer-led chapters. Chapters are the backbone of PMI and volunteers are "our secret sauce." Volunteers continue to make such a significant impact with their passion, dedication and commitment.

I believe that both chapters and volunteers are our value enablers. This network of stakeholders gives us incredible insights to the challenges faced by project professionals in every corner of the world. And this community is an incredible platform to make an impact on some of the world’s biggest challenges we are facing today. All of you bring ideas to reality and bring visions to life.
