About the Speaker: Denise Thompson
After earning a Master of Business Administration degree and the project management professional (PMP) certification in 2008, Denise focused on serving the project community as a PMI La Crosse – Rochester chapter board member, a practitioner, instructor, and contributor. In her role as a PMP and a certified scrum master (CSM), she works to develop the skills of project managers and their teams through the effective execution of methodologies and practices ranging from Scaled Agile Frameworks, to Waterfall and hybrid models across the spectrum. In 2018, her first book, The Human Factor in Project Management (CRC Press) was released on Amazon and Kindle. Today, Denise is a current member of the La Crosse – Rochester and Madison chapters, and actively mentors professionals through PMI, LinkedIn, and the Veterans Project Management Mentor Alliance (VPMMA). She loves the outdoors and is passionate about family, community, learning, and leadership.
