Virtual Professional Development Series December Monthly Talks

The PMI Lebanon is glad to announce that our last Monthly Talk of the year will be special on line event.

For this occasion, we have a special guest speaker from the PMI Board of Directors Jennifer Tharp of who will present the last session of the virtual professional development series: Managing Teams & Self - Putting it Together! which will be followed by the putting concept into action: experience sharing by the participants and debrief by our three trainers: Raymond Khoury, Jihad Abou Zeid, Zeina Boukheir based on the exercises shared.

NOTE: Please confirm your experience sharing participation us by December 15th 2020.

To make our online interactive session and celebration for lively we would like you to prepare the following:

START OF THE SESSION: Be ready to make the perfect Vanilla Tea at 6:30PM before the session starts. Make sure you have next to you the following:
1 Cup of Boiling water
1 Tea Bag (preferably orange pekoe tea bag)
2 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon white sugar (optional)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions of how to make the "perfect Vanilla tea" will be given during the session.

END OF THE SESSION: Be ready to wear your hats (it can be any type of hat in case you don't have Santa Claus hat handy), post-it/ sticky notes and marker to make your wishes.

Jennifer Tharp

About our guest speaker from BOD of PMI: Jennifer Tharp

Jennifer Tharp advises startups and multinationals including eBay, Genentech, Cisco and Nikon on difficult governance problems. She works closely with boards and executive teams to increase oversight, transparency and accountability. Ms. Tharp specializes in large-scale strategic change to prepare for major lifecycle events, such as mergers and acquisitions and Initial Public Offerings.

She is a recognized expert in project and program management, data privacy, agile development, strategic planning, cyber-security and compliance risk. Ms. Tharp co-authored the ground-breaking book, Sustainability Integration for Effective Project Management, with project managers and researchers around the world, the first to offer direct guidance to project managers on the long-term social, financial and environmental impacts of the work they do.

She has taught project management, risk, leadership and sustainability at University of California, Berkeley, USA. She also is a regular keynote speaker at international events, where she focuses on the value of project management to achieving business priorities.

Ms. Tharp has been a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification holder and PMI volunteer since 2001. Since joining the PMI Board of Directors, she has served as Chair of the Audit and Performance Oversight Committee (APOC), Chair of the Compensation Committee, and Vice Chair of the Board, where she leveraged her governance expertise to help PMI prepare for the future. Prior to serving on the global board, she helped PMI chapters achieve their goals and serve their members better through strategic planning and execution, and served as president of the PMI San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. She is a 2008 PMI® Leadership Institute Master Class graduate.
