Celebrating one more year of project management value creation
Following a period of rain showers, PMI members were able to enjoy a delightful evening on the terrace of B13 in Bertrange to welcome summer. The annual Summer-Drink gathering is the moment for the members to reflect on the Chapter’s activities and accomplishments, as well as meet and get to know each other.
After six months of “learning” activities, it was time for a more relaxing occasion.
The PMI Luxembourg Chapter’s Summer-Drink represents “the place to be” if you are interested in project management. It is the occasion to get to know the Chapter and its activities, a great opportunity to see many new faces and meet with the new members that have recently joined.
Moreover, this year, PMI celebrates its 50th anniversary. Year 2019, whatsoever, is more than a year of celebration for the Chapter’s 50 years of presence. It is the start of a project management Global Celebration of Service that will go on throughout the year and beyond. PMI is leading this effort to address important issues and causes in local communities that will help ensure a better future for all.
As a result, the Luxembourg Chapter is supporting Sportunity, a local NGO that support refugees integrate in Luxembourg with sport activities and much more. For members, this collaboration is a great opportunity to confront dynamically this reality and demonstrate that everyone can make a meaningful difference by extending a helping hand to people broken-down by expatriation. Sportunity’s coordinator Mr. Bobby GODDING took the time to answer questions, explain the activities of the organization and illuminate members about the refugees’ problems and difficulties.
With the usual good mood and interesting conversations, the party went on until very late at night. The members renew their rendezvous for the much expected end year party to celebrate the Institute’s 50th anniversary.
