Karla Eidem is the Regional Managing Director for the Project Management Institute North America region, bringing with her a wealth of strategic insight, leadership excellence, and a profound commitment to community impact. With her visionary mindset and dedication, Karla leads the charge in designing and executing regional strategies that amplify PMI's influence on organizations, individuals, and communities, ultimately driving project success and fostering positive change worldwide.

Her extensive experience in project management leadership roles within the financial services and healthcare sectors, coupled with her remarkable ability to translate organizational strategies into actionable plans, makes her a true trailblazer in the field.

Spencer Horn

Spencer Horn 

Businesses globally look to Spencer Horn as an enthusiastic, insightful source for counsel and advice on developing productive and focused corporate cultures. Spencer draws upon his 32 years of executive experience to reenergize seasoned and emerging professionals and increase organizational effectiveness. He inspires change, to develop: a powerful culture, effective communication, high performing teams, and engagement.

Spencer is the President of Altium Leadership. He has previously been the CEO of a leadership development company and Vice President of a NASDAQ company, which developed IMAX theaters in tourist destinations. There he worked with major organizations such as IMAX Corp., National Geographic Television, Radio City Productions, Disney Films and more. He has been speaking professionally since 2009. He has been speaking and presenting at PMI chapter development conferences since 2010 and has been a regular speaker at the PMI Leadership Institute Meeting (LIM) North America Conference since 2014.

Jay Kiew

Jay Kiew

Jay Kiew is a change navigation strategist and world-renowned keynote speaker with more than 13 years of strategy and human capital experience. He has created more than $2B of impact for 400+ executives by designing, developing, and delivering organizational transformation, but his story extends far beyond the professional arena.

Kiew is a half-blind cancer survivor, whose life is a testament to resilience in the face of adversity. His remarkable blend of professional expertise and personal resilience equips leaders to hack through the thick of change and disruption.

At the age of 19, Kiew became the world's youngest Distinguished Toastmaster. He has since been featured in the Financial Times, Globe and Mail, Financial Post, Ivey Business Journal, Change Leadership, and more. He also sits on the Project Management Institute’s Board of Directors for the Canadian West Coast Chapter.

Lee R. Lambert

Lee Lambert, PMP, is a project management industry thought-leader with nearly 45 years of experience. He is known for his thought leadership in the establishment of education and practitioner measurement standards. Since embarking on his project management journey in 1966, he has implemented multiple enterprise project management processes and educated more than 40,000 professionals in 22 countries. Mr. Lambert was instrumental in the creation of PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential. He is also a past president of the PMI Central Ohio Chapter, and served on the PM Network® and Project Management Journal® editorial review board for more than a decade. He has authored two books and more than 30 professional articles and white papers about project management. He is also a PMI subject matter expert for the Earned Value Management System Practice Guide and the Project Estimating Practice Guide, which is in development. Educated in engineering design, Mr. Lambert holds a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He is the creator of the "Stealth Learning" concept, which combines uncanny technical knowledge with unique material content and refreshingly entertaining delivery.

2024 PMIWDC Conference promotion

"Connecting and building together is more important than ever." For the 2024 PMIWDC Conference we look forward to empowering the next generation of project managers. It is important that we continue to support the PMI Education Foundation's mission: “Youth to reach their potential and transform their lives through project management."

PMIWDC is collaborating with the PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF) partners to create a new educational experience for the students. PMIEF delivers their mission through the application of project management in youth and youth-serving nonprofits. Day 2 of our conference we are estimating 250-350 students both from high school level and university students.

John Johnson headshot

John Johnson

John Johnson serves as the Professional Programs Manager at the University of Maryland, College Park, Project Management Center for Excellence. He leads the initiatives that help grow the Project Management Center for Excellence across its three pillars: Academic Excellence, Outreach and Professional Development, and Research. He is primarily responsible for the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) program, which currently is educating over 500,000 enrolled learners across the world. Mr. Johnson also teaches graduate courses on Agile and Predictive management at the University of Maryland’s Project Management Program. In partnership with the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute, Mr. Johnson is co-led creation of the new Masters of Professional Studies in Product Management (MPPM), building on his years as a CTO, Startup Co-Founder, and Senior Agile Project Manager.
