During my chapter board tenure, I built a committed community of volunteers and revamped programs portfolio to meet our members needs by pivoting to different hybrid models and provide maximum value. Introduced University PM Talks and PM Soundbites with an effort to reach our students and young professionals. These contributed greatly to bringing further awareness of project management in our local community and winning the Chapter of the Year Award!

Collaborated with our members, PMI, and stakeholders to create a relevant 5-year strategic plan. Led the effort to streamline functions and consolidate our two large boards that resulted in improved communication and collaboration.

Currently serving as Global volunteer for PMI as the Youth & Social Impact Region Advisor for North America Regions 5 & 14 for 38 chapters across Mid-Atlantic North America and The South North America & Caribbean. Also serving as PMI Cultural Ambassador to redefine PMI’s culture. Contribute to PMI Education Foundation (PMIef)’s various global programs as a judge, international speaker, panelist, mentor, and trusted advisor.

Drawing from my experiences both at the chapter and global levels to create project management awareness especially with the youth, take down barriers and provide tools for youth to “Make Reality Now” and help develop skills to create “Moments that Matter”.

As a Servant Leader I am looking forward to help PMIWDC chapter build on the vision “Project Managers Today Enable a Better Tomorrow”, put into action the value of “High-Impact Community Leaders” and align with PMI Chapter 4.0 strategy.
